Circa 1800 English Lead Mask / Waterspout - Nymph (Stk No.3994)

Price: £SOLD

This lead mask forms part of a collection of wonderful, very old, English leadwork that is truly exceptional.  Made using the lost wax process which is how all of the very best original lead pieces were made. It is very rare to find such quality pieces available for sale.

Here we have a beautiful mask - a nymph  - possibly a tree nymph with fruit adornments in her hair.  A mythical creature of the natural world.  In really wonderful condition and set up as a water spout over a lovely stone trough this is going to be the most unique piece.  These pieces have been in storage for many years and we are really pleased to be offering them for sale now.
